yeah - I think that was it. After running through the following; # pkg uninstall amp-dev # pkg uninstall web/php-52/extension/php-pgsql # pkg uninstall database/postgres-83/library I've kicked off another upgrade and it is now upgrading 941 packages which seems a lot healthier.
I had checked the other packages that were listed on the observatory page such as webstack but didn't grep for postgres so my bad.
