When the nxge interface sends out its rarp request to get its IP during the start of jumpstart, it is an untagged packet. Since the switch end is configured as a trunk, the switch might be expecting encapsulated packets from the server due to which the communication is not happening. But setting a native vlan on the truk should have solved the issue as I am under the impression that native vlan traffic is untagged. I am confused.
