I have a dual boot system with opensolaris 2009.06 up and running perfectly. I updated it via image-update to something I call 2009.09.20. Again, works perfectly. Then I changed the authority to the /dev repository and updated it again via image-update. That completed, but when I reboot it gets part way through and then just kicks back to grub and starts over. Happily, the 2009.06 and 2009.09.20 BEs are still good and the system works well.
There are a lot of threads out there on various problems related to image update. Can someone please provide the simple four or five steps (as I understand it) to do this correctly. Many thanks! Don -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
