When I installed the opensolaris I had three usb stuffs plugged to the back of my computer: d-link wirelless device, logitech camera, mouse/keyboard wireless hub. After the installation I just reboot the sytem without unplug anything and the gone did`t appear. After that i tried to remove all those stuffs (except for the keyboard of course) and I got the same result. >>Did you try enabling anything like LDAP, NIS, xxxx? Just brainstorming. Have you let >>it sit at the >>command prompt for a long time (maybe 15+ minutes)? Noops, I just installed using all default stuffs The maximum time I had waited was 10 minutes (what is a good time for a intel quad core 2.4 ghz processor)...:-). Anyway, just giving more information during this 10 minutes waiting time the screen goes off and on a lot of times (I mean the signal to the monitor), when it goes on it display the text log in message. I did hit the key to keep the text console being displayed, there is no relevant message but printing hostname, zfs config done and mounting zfs file system..... I really don`t know why gnome is not coming up during initialization, if I log in and type gnome it works normally. Typing the svc command I got that DSN resolver didn`t start (what is not a problem) and another message saying the resolv.conf is absent.... Now, about the mouse; I know this mouse isn't supported on the 2009.06 (svn_111b) bversion, however I know there is a patch to the svn_112 (nevada) that fixed that, How can I get this fix and put it to run on my machine? -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
