Keep in mind that this isn't a long term problem. Sparc installation support for OpenSolaris just came into full on existence with the 2009.06 release. There are plans to provide 'bootable' Sparc installation media (using a text based installer). We're working out the design of such right now. So as always with OpenSolaris, be patient. It's a lot further from being finished (certainly from an Installation standpoint) than people think. Cheers, -- Glenn
