Hi tomorrowan, if your motherboard supports it, you can get temperature readings from IPMI (Intelligent Platform Management Interface). Here's a blog entry that explains how it works and how you can get the temperature readings in Solaris and OpenSolaris, just read through this link and try it out and see if it works:
