The new installer in OpenSolaris 200X-MM may offer fewer options (though with a prettier presentation) than the older Solaris and SXCE installers. But generally, it should put grub where you tell it. > 2. Can I tell the installer to put it on the second > disk, then use my Ubuntu grub chainloader (on primary > disk) to take me to OpenSolaris. I think so (though I've never tried multbooting OpenSolaris). > 3. Would it be better to let OpenSolaris install its > grub on the first disk, then add my Ubuntu entries > into OpenSolaris's menu.lst? This is possible, but more difficult. My old home PC uses SXCE grub top boot everything on it, including Fedora 10 directly (not chain booting). A+ Paul -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
