Hi all: I bought a new Dell Studio 540 with 8 gig RAM and Intel G54 graphics chipset, and I installed OpenSolaris 2009.06. All is well except that after I logout, about 30% of the time (not every time), the monitor will go off and says "no signal" before it goes off. Same if I do ctrl-alt-backspace. Then it seems the system hangs and there is no screen to see. The computer still is powered on.
I have googled for hints, but not getting anywhere. This never happened with my previous computer. I have try to create xorg.conf with "NoZap", but when I logout, this problem still happens. I don't want to press the power button everytime it happens. Is there a way to get back either the plain text console or gnome? Thanks in advance? -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
