Right after my reply, without rebooting the nas device or anything, I did an install from the livecd environment to the usb stick which worked fine, except that it took very very long to complete, maybe a slow usb port, not sure. An install from within a vmware to the usb on my laptop was much faster
I'm going to try to get the usb started on my laptop or something like that. The problem with the mounting must be some misunderstanding from my side, not being familiar with the opensolaris system, I'll check the manuals first and do some testing. thanks again for your help. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
