Many thanks for your post. Problem now resolved. Could see that boot hung just as it got to CDROMs.
Seems that either OS didn't like the fact that I had two CDROM drives fitted to my PC (liveCD didn't complain) or it didn't like the driver of one of them... Just unplugged one of them and it booted fine. So far so good. M -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
