In your case it would be much better just to do a full system update, as then your sound card should start working automagically, and you'll get most recent firefox, among all the other goodies. If you really wish to install the 4sound driver, then: - go to http://www.4front-tech.com/download.cgi - choose solaris 10/11 (x86/AMD64) - download the package somewhere (by default OS firefox downloads to ~/Downloads); there's a link pdf with instructions as well; - open terminal and write: pfexec pkgadd -d ~/Downloads/oss-solaris-v4.1-1052-i386.pkg But I really would suggest doing this only if system update (pfexec pkg image-update) and a reboot afterwards doesn't help.
