I can't find any way to do user name only with mount_smbfs (mount -t smb).On Windows I am just entering in the user name without a workgroup, and it connects fine.
For some reason it seems that mount/mount_smbfs automatically adds the workgroup if you do not specify one. I've tried specifying an empty workgroup but the mount command fails due to not specifying a workgroup. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
