HI, I am new to solaris and is trying to get the sound drivers to work. I downloaded OSS and installed it as follows.
pkgadd -d oss-solaris-v4.1-1052-i386.pkg Rebooted the system and i could hear a sound during test. But when i put a cd disc in the cd rom it plays with no sound. In the device driver utility it says the sound hardware is a "high definition audio controller", Driver -oss-hd audio, device id-0x27d8. How to tell if it has been installed or not.
