Any hints on how these might be installed on 2009.06?

It did. I stripped out everything else, it still just segfaulted. I
checked the usb devices, and this one is being managed as a hid
device. Possibly that's the problem, and I need to tweak the usb
config so it's something else? What's yours show as?
