I saw the same behavior on servers with S5000PAL MB when trying to install opensolaris SXCE b91
But this only happened when we did an install via jumpstart with a profile for a mirrored systemdisk, and the problem was seen during the first boot (so install was not an issue) The problem was work arround by disabling the microkernel updates: we just removed /kernel/i86pc/ucode Does this problem occur during install? or during first boot?
