I have a user named qbert on my ubuntu machine that needs to connect to my osol snv_97 over NFS on my network attached storage to read and write files/folders owned by jim.
there is, however, no /etc/exports. and no amount of chmoding will allow me to move folders unless i'm 777 (on the NAS) but I don't want that because I want to be able to hide files/folders from certain users. How do I get meaningful permissions going for the NFS connection here and SMB connections for any mac/win32 clients? -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
