Hi all. I have a peculiar problem which I have not seen before and I haven't found anything about on google, either. I installed snv_99 on an IBM xseries 330,dual PIII 1ghz,4 Gb of Ram,DVD drive and two SCSI drives. The install goes well but when I try to login for the first time it never takes the password that I assigned during setup. I have tried this twice already but no dice. Also, before this I had snv_94 installed without issues so I think it's something specific to this build (although I had a VM running with this same build and all was well).
I am really not that good with Solaris_more of a Windows/Mac OS X kink of guy until now_but I want to learn Solaris so any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
