Also, are you still dual-booting OpenSolaris with another operating system (like Microsoft Windows or Linux) where java is installed and the network card actually works? If so, reboot into the other operating system and run the The Sun Device Detection tool which you can get from the link below:
http://www.sun.com/bigadmin/hcl/hcts/device_detect.jsp It might give you some good hints on where you can find the specific drivers you need and/or what you need to do to get any existing drivers working.
