I got opensolaris from a mag cover disk and installed as dual-boot on my dell
xps M1210 laptop. it works fine except no sound and no ethernet; strangely, the
wifi works fine. I have some basic familiarity with linux, but opensolaris
seems aimed at people with a lot of knowledge. I can find no questions like
this one on the forums! Should I, as an end-user, with a single machine, not be
using opensolaris? That is, is it not meant for someone as I describe myself?
