Hi, Would anyone out there know of a BIOS flash or something (anything) that
will unlock or replace this factory installed HP BIOS that will only allow
vista to run on this notebook? This is Phoenix BIOS f.30. No options for
anything other than vista. HP "support" is hostile to the idea of multibooting
or replacing the OS, "it's not supported" Phoenix website query produces link
to a driver update scam site. I only bought this thing because it has two hard
drives , I didn't know how desperate they are to get people to use vista
only. As far as live CD's go (i tried Knoppix, Fedora & Ubuntu also)
OpenSolaris

was the only one that actually got me to a desktop on this thing but then no
driver for Broadcom adapter.

                                         Suggestions please. Thanks in
advance.
