Hi, I'm trying to set up a linux box to be a network install server for Solaris Express. Using nv b99 x86 dvd image, I setup a linux box with /tftp/boot that's copied from /boot of DVD image, with DHCP pointing /boot/grub/pxegrub and /boot/grub/menu.lst, and the machine I want to install Solaris on can successfully fire up grub. However, once I pick a boot option from grub menu, boot stops immediately with the following message:
failed to get ramdisk from boot Unexpected trap instruction pointer 0xffffffffb8123a4 error code, optional 0x0 .... I can boot up the kernel using the same procedure using S10 U5 /boot, which makes me believe this is either some kernel issue or miniroot problem. Any idea what's wrong ? -Seongbae -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
