I cannot boot to my open Solaris install, but my partition might still be
valid. How can I mount my existing partition from an open CD session? I am
not sure what the device ID would be from the live CD, and nothing in
/etc/vfstab looks familiar. My intent would be to backup the last contents of
my user directory to recover mail items. I had created a vfstab entry on my
last install that mounted an ide drive that has a single Solaris partition at
/dsk3. I used cpio to backup a previous install there. My main disk has two
ntfs partitions on it, and one is probably still bootable to windows 2k.
There is a third partition that is/was my Solaris install. I could also try
Knoppix but I am not sure it will allow me to backup from a Solaris partition
to another Solaris partition. Any help would be very appreciated.
Thanks
