Thanks. That solved the grub-prompt problem. Unfortunately, now the system boots and tries to initialize the GUI (flashes a big screen) than fails back to the command-line login. Can't login there either because the keyboard is set to some incorrect mode (garbage being displayed at the login prompt, even without typing anything. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
