As noted in the "Special Nvidia Considerations" section of the 101b release notes[1], the nvidia drivers were updated to a new version that adds support for many newer cards, but does not include support for some older cards. If you have one of the older cards, you need to download and install the legacy driver from http://www.nvidia.com/object/unix.html If that doesn't solve your problem, the xwin-discuss forum is the best place to get graphics driver help.
