Are you trying to install solaris from within linux ? That wont work.

You need to BOOT your PC from the Solaris 10 DVD or CD1
You need to have a free Primary partition on your Boot Harddisk which has
15 GB diskspace to install solaris and play around some.

The solaris install will make the solaris partition the active partition
so you will need to edit the Solaris grub /boot/grub/menu.lst afterwards
to be able to boot your Linux installtion.
