Actually, the Indiana Developer Preview *won't* give you the option to
create a "Solaris new" partition.  At the moment (this will change at
some point) you *must* have a pre-existing Solaris2 partition on the
disk you want to install Indiana on to.  Or be familiar with the format
and fdisk commands once booted up from the liveCD prior to running the
Installer.
