After stepping through the python code I found that my /etc/passwd file had an mstat of 0, ie a last modified date of jan-1 1970 UTC. I have used rdate to set my clock correctly but after reboot it is setting to Dec 28 1986. When I go into the BIOS the date/time is correct.
On a separate note, booting hangs for half a minute or so before kernel messages start appearing. 2008/11/25 Peter Rosenthal <voiperster at gmail.com> > I have just done a clean install of OpenSolaris 2008.11 rc2 on a VMware > Workstation box with 1GB of RAM configured. > > I'm now trying to install the iscsitgt package and I get the following > error from both command line and GNOME package manager: > > 'user name not found: root' > > any ideas? > -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
