I only did that because the following url's told me to: http://wiki.blastwave.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=12 http://notallmicrosoft.blogspot.com/2008/08/live-upgrade-with-zfs-root-using-sxce.html http://notallmicrosoft.blogspot.com/2008/10/recap-live-upgrade-with-zfs-root-using.html But okay. I went so far as doing a rollback on my rpool to just after install, and tried your steps. Still doesn't work! Still the same error: ERROR: Installation of the packages from this media of the media failed; pfinstall returned these diagnostics: Processing profile Loading local environment and services Generating upgrade actions ERROR: No upgradeable file systems found at specified mount point. > lofiadm -a /mnt/solaris-x86/sol-nv-b103-x86-dvd.iso > mount -F hsfs /dev/lofi/1 /b > /b/Solaris_11/Tools/Installers/liveupgrade20 > lucreate -n snv_103 > luupgrade -u -n snv_103 -s /b > luactivate snv_103 > umount /b > lofiadm -d /dev/lofi/1 > init 6 Thats exactly what i did, but luupgrade is still no go. My only guess is, liveupgrade doens't like something i've done. Perhaps it does't like that I zfs destroy rpool/export/home, and rpool/export. And that /home is a symlink to an nfs server. This is the way it has always been done here with UFS root, so I continued doing so with ZFS root. Is there no way to get more detail info as to what the error is from pfinstall? -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
