Hi everyone,

Today, I updated my OpenSolaris from v2008.11 to v2009.06 and I got a big
problem.

After I ran the command

$ pkg image-update

OpenSolaris could successfully download, install and index; however, there was
a warning kind of boot-archive unable to create. In the end, it said that
OpenSolaris could successfully update, rebooted: "A clone of opensolaris exists
and has been updated and activated. On next boot the Boot Environment
opensolaris-1 will be mounted on '/'. Reboot when ready to switch to this
updated BE."

I checked in BE which now had 2 BEs: opensolaris-1 (old BE) and
opensolaris-2(new BE)

However, after rebooting, when I chose either boot from opensolaris-1 or
opensolaris-2, OpenSolaris stood still at the stage (when there was a wallpaper
and a slide bar in the middle of the screen).

I try to boot OpenSolaris manually by

grub> bootfs rpool/ROOT/opensolaris-1
grub> kernel$ /platform/i86pc/kernel/$ISADIR/unix -B $ZFS-BOOTFS
grub> module$ /platform/i86pc/$ISADIR/boot_archive

At this stage, everything was OK. However, after I ran

grub> boot

Still, OpenSolaris remained hanging :(

I wonder what happened? Is there any problem with boot archive?

Please help me figure out this problem . I have a lot of important data in
OpenSolaris.

Thanks
