Fixed. Please don't laugh...I used a new cable from my Dell laptop (not mine, belongs to the company I work for), and never checked it. As soon as I changed the cable, I was able to ping my router. I still could not get to the internet, as deamon was not up - as I did not know how to start it, I re-started the computer, and - bingo!
You are talking to a future Solaris admin...hehe :)) In case you are still reading this...has anyone installed OpenSolaris on NVIDIA Chipset MCP55P/MPC55Ultra/MCP55S?
