Hello, I noticed that access to the OpenSolaris Mercurial repository is only possible through ssh. Is there any reason for this when the Source is already OpenSource?
Direct ssh access is of course impossible in many companies where employees are trapped behind a firewall, and it is a nightmare to get Firewall admins to allow tunneling ssh through some SOCKS proxy server. I fear my attempts to get somebody to support this here will fail soon. It would be really great if access could be made possible through simple HTTP. Or at least if complete Mercurial bundle's would be offered for HTTP download where I could download a base revision including all history and then regular update bundles to get the rest of it.
