Right , The Sun SPARC Ultra 2 workstation will work with Solaris 10
provided that
it has a ULTRASPARC-II Processor and 512 MB RAM.
Be aware that many Ultra2 systems was shipped with a lot less RAM in
the middle of
the 1990's
256 MB RAM is minimum for solaris 10 on SPARC. but the graphic
installer
wont work , only the text based installer.
A Sparc machine does not have a PC Bios. It has the Open Boot Prom ( OBP
)
To boot from CD on a Sparc machine you issue the command :
> boot cdrom
in the OBP environment.
