So I ping my own hostname and it doesn't respond. I think I'm enjoying some of the connection problems mentioned in other threads, so I turned nwam off and am just using the default physical connection. But somewhere along the way, I stopped being able to resolve my own host name.
It is a virtualbox opensolaris machine connected to a windows PC successfully getting internet over host adapter->network bridge with another host adapter -> host NAT. I can ping the opensolaris ip from windows, but not the hostname. I hope there's something obvious I'm missing here. There can't be too many reasons for a machine not being able to resolve its own host name. :( This message posted from opensolaris.org
