P.S. for some time now (don't recall the exact build number), OpenSolaris based distros (including SXCE and SXDE) use hal instead of volmgt, so the services that need to be enabled have changed. Instead of volfs, I think these are now svc:/system/hal:default svc:/system/filesystem/rmvolmgr:default svc:/system/dbus:default
