On this box, just another one still on nv81, the usual upgrade process goes through, but after init 6, it comes back with NVRM message, that the MX420 is not supported by 173.14.9, and another 96. is needed. "Continuing probe ..." This continuation never ends, and no more message comes through. After half an hour I pressed the reset-button. By the way, Enter would not advance the blinking cursor from 2 empty lines below that message. I tried reboot to a 'Failsafe', but to no avail, with the same result.
Now I wonder how to go along? How could I remove/replace the updated NVIDIA-driver with the legacy-one, before it reboots? What could be done to detail/debug how far it gets? Uwe This message posted from opensolaris.org
