Are you using the OpenSolaris 2008.05 Live CD? If so: boot the PC from this, then double click on the "Device Driver Utility" on the desktop. This will report driver availability for all of the devices in the computer, and should give you links to drivers not included on the CD if they are available. It should also tell you the name of the controller.
