According to this entry in the Sun HCL: http://www.sun.com/bigadmin/hcl/data/components/details/152.html
The AHA-2940UW SCSI controller is reported to work on Solaris 10, Solaris Express, and OpenSolaris 2008.05 although the entry also says this is using the driver supplied as part of Solaris 9 04/03. The card seems to use the "adp" driver which looks like it is closed source. If you install the latest build of Solaris Express Community Edition (SXCE) this card will almost certainly work fine without you needing to go hunting for a driver - I've got build 95 sitting on my machine and it has that driver and the relevant entries in /etc/driver_aliases to make it work. If you really want to get OpenSolaris working on your system, install SXCE first, then copy the driver and its conf file (if any) onto a USB stick, along with the relevant entries in /etc/driver_aliases . Once you've done that you can boot the OpenSolaris live CD, copy the driver off the USB key and add the relevant entries to /etc/driver_aliases using the add_drv command. Note the easiest thing I know. You may want to just give SXCE a spin - it's not as bleeding edge as OpenSolaris, but it is a decent system.
