Hi All, sorry if this is an easy thing to do and i'm just being dumb but say i've got discs already assigned to an existing zpool on a server. I then want to unallocate these discs to the machine, place them into another server and then allocate them to that new machine, however once on the new machine they come up with the old setup from the original zpool along with all the data, filesystems etc.
i.e. server1 has 3 hdd set against "mypool". This zpool contains fs's and data. Take the hdd's - put them in server2 and assign them to a zpool. Once assigned they come up running with the same fs's and data as before? Is this possible? This message posted from opensolaris.org
