Another option is to look at the OpenSolaris equivalents - the version
of GIMP in OpenSolaris is pretty good these days. I'm not a hardcore
photoshop user, but am a keen photographer, and it does all I need.

Don't know about CorelDraw - does the OpenOffice drawing program have
similar features ?

Course, maybe it's just a case of asking Adobe to port Photoshop to
Solaris - after all, they've been great with getting acroread support on
Solaris. Oh wait, hang on a second ! :-)
