No when you log back in you still have no access. And unfortunately since I only just installed opensolaris it was the only user. Therefor I was completely locked out.
I have fixed the problem by using the livecd and editing the user_attr file. However this does seem like a major bug. locking people out of a role just by going into the GUI -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
