Greetings I am having a little trouble getting 2008.11 to work on my Sony Vaio laptop.
This post is similar to a few others and hope we can all fix it together somehow. This happened during install as well, the system hung part way through the install of the CD. I finally got it installed on the hard disk, by putting it in a different laptop and then tranferring the disk back to my sony vaio. Since then I have done touch /reconfigure twice. The problem is this every time i boot up it hangs or freezes after btw 15 to 45 minutes later So I could not find any core files other thanone ---- /core.svc.configd.xxxx I found nothing in /var/adm/messages either. At first I though it was gnome but it happens in single user mode as well. It has been running smoothly on my tosihaba for about a week now and I would [i]really[/i] like to get it working on my vaio. I've been wrestling with it for 3 or 4 days now and its getting to me. I am attaching output files from a previous but similar posting about hang freeze Question for jabrewer though you mentioned something in the past about acapci or something like that I have searched but cant find it. about startinf 0x08 Will keep searching.
