I've played with AVS and OpenSolaris and the post above isn't quite accurate. AVS works fine with it. AVS doesn't know or care about what kind of ZFS pool you have.
Using an iscsi target and initiator on the same machine using ZFS to mirror isn't the same thing as using AVS. If you need mirroring, then that method sounds reasonable. If you need replication, then you can do AVS (or ZFS send/recv). -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
