You do have the option of installing SUNWman from sol-nv-b96-x86-dvd.iso, the install image for Solaris Express. AFAIK the executables accept the same options but YMMV. Since I normally have at least one system running Solaris Express the lack of man pages hasn?t bothered me. > It's very unfortunate that very common pages are missing, like man bc and man > find, and then > when one tries to read the pdf manuals there are fonts not displaying on > Evince. I thought the fonts problem had been solved for the moment and that an upcoming release of OpenSolaris packages would have the fix in place. > I do agree, getting the documentation right should be top priority! I would hazard the guess that getting a properly functional operating system would have the higher priority. Migrating a wholly proprietary operating system to freely distributable open source is a severe challenge if the open source OS is to function in a manner similar to its parent. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
