One thing you can try is the Open Sound System (OSS) from here: www.opensound.com
This may work.However, I have an Intel sound chip and it is not supported by either OpenSolaris or OpenSound drivers. Can you run the device driver utility again, click on the entry for the sound chip, and note the device ID and vendor ID, then post them back here?
