ok, i'm building a file server / xen box soon and the more I read about ZFS the more I like it.
some quick clarification: I have been using linux for many years and i'm quite comfortable in a unix like command-line environment. my questions are such: 1: Is it possible to install opensolaris onto a zfs mirror? (that the right term? the one that's like a raid-1) If so, then how? i've been experimenting with things a bit in virtualbox (haven't ordered the hardware yet) and downloaded os200805.iso but there's no zfs option or for that matter, no option for a mirrored root. 2: Is it possible to do a GUI-less install of opensolaris? not gonna need one for this box. 3: can opensolaris be a Xen dom0? Is that the right term? (want to run a VM or two under opensolaris, one PVM for sure and possibly one HVM) thanks for any information. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
