Thanks for your reply. I really don't know that much about solaris, but my
internal fat is not within the solaris partition slice. Grub menu 1st calls it
rootnoverify (hd1,0). How do the dev/dsk 's read in relation to nonsolaris
partitions. I know it cannot mount a ntfs partition but an external usb fat
will. This is a fat primary boot partition on a separate hardrive. Windows has
no problem seeing and mounting one on a different hard drive. Sorry to be so
dense.
