Hi

Thanks so much for the advices
actually no i dont have a wireless

i have 2 other machines on a network
one of them is a web and file server on

The server is on 100
The other machine is on 103

This machine i intend to use as 102 or ill settle with 101

i just copied and pasted what you sent me fast becasue
i was afraid i would get cut off during the submission of this reply lol

i notice it happens when the load is a little heavy

i will show you my hosts again
# ident "@(#)hosts      1.7     06/08/01 SMI"
#
# Internet host table
#

127.0.0.1       localhost       loghost
::1     localhost       loghost

and here is my resolv.conf

domain 24.25.4.140

nameserver 24.25.4.135
nameserver 224.25.4.140
nameserver 24.25.4.142

As an example lets say my pc machines on a network is
Hostname = Lucid-Dreams
isp name = wangotango.com
wanabe-address = 192.158.16.102
router = 192.158.16.1
name servers
24.25.4.135
24.25.4.140
interface= RTZSd0

Where would all those numbers go

Now that would realy be helpful if you can get me going with that
becasue none of that works at all when i do the traditional sys-unconfig

The only time i get a conection is when i touch two files
/etc/hostname.RTZSd0
/etc/dhcp.RTZd0

Thanks again

Remember all those are not my actual names and numbers but
you can guide me in the right direction with that information
