hi i do know something is seriously wrong or solaris just does not like me or my network card. i did everything with the host file that manual explains and still i get errors on boot up abd unknown hosts
i never had that problem using OpenBSD or FreeBSD . in BSD i what i do is enter the Hostname, Domain, ipv4 gateway, Name server, ipv4 address and Netmask and boom i was on line So why does Solaris give me such a hard time during initial set up or during sys-unconfig. Why when i enter all this information does Solaris say it cant connect please try a different provider or name server The only way i can connect i Solaris is when i touch /etc/hostname and /etc/dhcp files and then i keep losing my connection till i do the wam turn off but its annoying on each reboot i have to do the same thing Nothing works This message posted from opensolaris.org
