The only operating system that I'm aware of that can't handle installing on non-primary partitions are the DOS-based versions of Windows .. it would surprise me greatly if this were not easily possible. (Although, my advice is mostly useless, as I can't get my LiveCD to boot, let alone install) Have you actually tried to do this? This message posted from opensolaris.org
