[osol-help] Frame rate - Radeon

I have an ATI X550 and configured xorg.conf (using Xorg-configure) to use the 
radeon driver instead of vgatext.  I tested both setups using glxgears and got 
fps of 175.  But the same hardware on openSUSE using fglrx yields 3000!  Am I 
really only getting 175 fps, or does glxgears not work right on openSolaris?  
Any ideas?
